Catholic Manga?!?!

Check out Manga Hero! It’s a company that writes and draws stories about real heroic virtue, including the conversion of Paul, an interpretation of one of Christ’s parables, and the lives and trials of our two most recent popes! Here’s their own description from their website:

Manga Hero publishes graphic novels about heroes and heroines. We are dedicated to telling great stories – stories about honor, love, courage, sacrifice, friendship, and forgiveness. Most importantly, our stories are filled with hope. Augustine, a philosopher and theologian from the 5th century, writes: “Hope has two beautiful daughters whose names are Anger and Courage. Anger that things are the way they are. Courage to make them the way they ought to be.”

It’s officially approved and endorsed by several Catholic organizations and leaders including EWTN, World Youth Day, Life Teen, Tim Staples, and Mike Aquilina. The online store is currently having a sale on the combo of two of its books: “Habemus Papam!” about Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI and “I Believe In Mercy” about Pope Francis. If you want a fun read (we all need to take breaks from the Summa every so often) that will still be informative to your faith, hurry and grab some manga from Manga Hero!

Our friends from Manga Hero have offered to donate 5% of sales coming from UCCC to the conference, so help out and read manga!
