What does it mean to host?

what ifThinking about hosting for UCCC 2015, but not quite sure what it entails? Well, we’re here to fix that!

If you live in San Diego, this is a great opportunity for you to not only knock $20 off your UCCC 2015 admission price, but to also make some new friends! Say what?! $20 back and some new friends? WHERE DO I SIGN UP? https://www.eventbrite.com/e/university-catholic-conference-of-california-2015-tickets-13402562425

You’ll be hosting at least 2 students (hopefully more if you have space and want to house more people out of the kindness of your soul) who are traveling to San Diego and need a place to crash during the conference. They’ll be staying at your place from February 13-16. Offering up your living room floor, couches, or even attics under the stairs will suffice for our weary travelers. And of course letting them use your bathrooms to freshen up. You don’t need to worry about feeding them because we got that covered (but they may ask you about the best spots to eat in SD, so be prepared to yell out PHIL’S BBQ or VALLARTA). The only things you are responsible for is letting them into your apartment and having enough space so that they have somewhere to sleep after a long day of fun and faith bonding (and maybe show them how to get to places throughout the conference if they look completely lost, which they probably will).

Closer to the conference date, we’ll be giving you the number and names of the people who will be staying with you so you can contact them and give them your address. PLEASE let us know if you’re willing and able to take in more than just two people. The UCCC 2015 core team will be eternally grateful for that big heart of yours.
PERKSWe highly encourage those of you in the San Diego area to host if possible! A lot of our brothers and sisters in Christ are traveling long distances just to attend this conference. We need YOUR help to give them a warm welcome and a place to rest.

God Bless and have a wonderful NEW YEAR!
